The Agora RPZ Box Wrap: Gathering in Song
Inspiring Art in Public Spaces
The new venue, The Agora at Corinth, serves as a cultural hub where the community gathers to celebrate music, art, and connection. When the City of Corinth approached me to create a graphic wrap for an RPZ box at this vibrant location, I saw an opportunity to encapsulate the spirit of The Agora through art.
Design Inspiration
The design titled "Gather in Song" embodies the essence of The Agora. This piece features a vintage microphone and a flowing piano keyboard, symbolizing the universal language of music. The microphone represents the voices that come together, while the keyboard signifies the harmony and rhythm that music brings to our lives.
The Creative Process
Creating this wrap was a journey of blending visual elements with the venue's mission. The challenge was to design something that not only beautifies the space but also resonates with the community’s love for music and gatherings.

Concept Development: The initial concept revolved around the idea of uniting people through music. Sketches and digital drafts were created to visualize how the elements would interact on the RPZ box.

Color Scheme and Typography: The colors were carefully chosen to ensure visibility and aesthetic appeal. The bold red and white text "GATHER IN SONG" catches the eye, encouraging passersby to engage with the artwork. The typography reflects a modern yet timeless feel, aligning with The Agora's brand identity. The intricate design within the letters adds a layer of depth and sophistication, featuring musical notes and symbols that subtly celebrate the theme of music.

Paper Cut Effect: To make the text stand out even more, a paper cut effect was used around the words. This technique creates a visual pop, giving the letters a three-dimensional appearance that draws attention and enhances the overall impact of the design.

Final Design and Installation: After several iterations, the final design was printed and applied to the RPZ box. The installation was done meticulously to ensure longevity and durability, given the outdoor setting.
